First Haircut

Yesterday my mom and I took Cami to have her hair trimmed. I tried to prepare her for the experience in advance. I really had no idea how she would react. What I forgot to count on was the element of "hair tools" which caught her attention right away. She had her eye on the scissors from the minute she sat down. She was also fascinated by the little bench put in the chair to make her taller.

The lovely woman who cut Cami's hair has been like a member of our family. She is my mom's hairdresser and she gave me many great new styles over the years. She has given all four of my children their first haircuts and many more!

Doris let Cami choose the smock she wanted over her and then she went right to work. Cami sat still as could be. She closed her eyes part of the time, but loved peeking at herself in the mirror. Then she and Doris posed for a photo for the scrapbook!

How adorable is your sweet Cami! Love the connection to the woman who cut her hair for the first time. Cami's total wonderment at the world around her is so delightful. Ethan is much the same way.

Hugs to you and your family.
