Learning to Party

A few months ago Cami began to talk about her birthday and to anticipate the celebration. When asked what she wants for her birthday, she will usually reply, "Three Candles" and hold up her fingers. She also knows she wants cake and she wants her cousins to come. Cami is blessed with some of the sweetest cousins in the world.

Last week she had an opportunity to learn about birthday parties up close and personal. Cousin Eli, aka Spiderman these days, had a party in his big backyard. It was such fun and Cami enjoyed every part of it.

There was swimming and water play and a cool inflatable slide.

After swimming and eating, it was time to open the gifts. Cami really enjoyed watching this part. She did a good job of watching from a distance and not helping too much. Most of the time she enjoyed sitting on her cousin's lap like this:

After all the fun of birthday presents, the birthday boy transformed into Spiderman and commanded that we all eat cake!
