Introduction: Lauren

Our family is made up of so many characters, all of whom have helped set the stage for adoption in their own way.
Lauren is our oldest daughter, now 20 and away at college. She is zany and brilliant, artsy and chatty. She loves animals and a few lucky people. She is physical and active, always on the move with a true gypsy spirit. She wants to travel and work outdoors. She's transferring soon to a new college in the mountains that will allow her certification for her life's work.
We can always count on Lauren to show us the forest beyond the trees and to not just think outside the box, but to live there too. She was our first born and therefore is responsible for teaching us most of what we know about parenting. In a word: Expect the Unexpected.
