She Gave Something Back

K. Doctor is my Red Thread friend. Soon after bringing her sweet daughter home, it was time for a birthday celebration. She invited friends from her travel group and others who had not yet met her newly adopted daughter. And she asked that instead of gifts for the birthday girl, people consider giving a donation to send back to the orphanage where babies and children were still waiting for their forever families to find them.

After the party, K. Doctor contacted Love Without Boundaries and asked if she could make a donation specifically for the orphanage where her own daughter had spent her first year. And she inquired about what particular needs they might have. She wanted to be sure that the money raised went directly to help the children.

Love Without Boundaries told her there were two children waiting for surgery at the orphanage. One of them was 9 month old, Zhi Yu who needed a cleft lip repair. Enough money had been donated to completely cover the cost of this surgery. K. Doctor was sent a photo of the little girl she was able to help and she kept it on her desk, and she wondered what the child's destiny would be.
